The groundhog did not see his shadow so we were promised spring would arrive early this year.  Unfortunately, it seems she is coy and only wanted to flirt with us a bit before hiding again beneath spring snows.  In spite of Spring’s reluctance, Manistee residents know it is only a matter of time till wonderful green explodes all over the county.  For now we patiently put out birdfood for the early arrivers and dust the snow flakes off the crocuses.
