Crystal Mountain Spa

The lovely small towns that dot this county usually attract visitors seeking a slightly slower and less stressful pace; but, that doesn’t mean we don’t have all the amenities of the bigger cities.  A short ride up U.S. 31 takes us through Bear Lake and to County Line Road.  A quick right turn and a drive through rolling hills and pine forests brings you to the fabulous Crystal Mountain Resort.  A Mecca for Skiing and Golf, Crystal Mountain is a year-round destination for visitors and local residents alike.  In our case, this last weekend it was a perfect setting for a gathering of best girlfriends looking to be pampered at the spa.ACrystal Spa - Entry Door_New

Behind this frosted glass door is 18,500 square feet of world class spa, rated in the top ten nationally by Organic Spa Magazine.  But it’s also a different world, an oasis, where everything is soothing, elegant and accommodating.  Visitors are greeted by welcoming staff and ushered to inner rooms with changing areas, well appointed vanities, heated floors, infrared saunas and steam baths.  Plush robes and slippers awaited us and we made full use of the heat and steam to relax us and to let the rest of the world fall away for awhile.   Next, we were ushered into the lounge where we sipped on fruit-infused water and awaited our names to be called.  0908_090330_0547_F_VERSION2_04x06

Down a flight of stairs are the treatment rooms which are perfectly designed for serenity and relaxation.  Our group opted for a variety of treatments from their expansive menu ranging from facials and pedicures to deep tissue massages and Vichy showers.  We finished our day off with friendly conversation and a glass of wine by the hot tub in the outdoor mosaic garden.  We left polished, pampered, and deeply relaxed.  Worth every penny.
